Perai Lost Its Identity Due to Mismanagement! By who?

Writing seems to be easier rather than speaking to some about this issue….

PERAI, Penang holds the great history for Indians in Penang. When we speak about visiting one of the oldest Muniswarar Temple in Malaysia, it would be definitely would be Jalan Baru Sree Muniswarar Temple along Perai.

We have flocks of Indian devotees who never fail to visit this temple every day but yet being proud of this, I feel very sad to see the deplorable condition of the residents of Taman Teluk Indah, Perai or better known as Perai Pacific Flats namely Block E1 and Block E2 which is situated like 200 meters away from this temple.

These Taman Teluk Indah residents who never failed to be support of Dr. P. Ramasamy during the 12th GE has now realized that they made a huge mistake by electing him as their State Assembly in Perai & Parliamentary in Batu Kawan as their representative.

These residents who have been once promised all the sweeties by the current Penang State ruling party has now felt betrayed by these empty promises. Dr. P. Ramasamy who is the state`s Deputy Chief Minister II has failed to uplift the living conditions of the Indians in Perai.

This man who the Indians in Perai once regarded as the Indian community`s savior is busy entertaining the Chinese community in Perai for votes. He seems to be busy fishing the votes from the Chinese community.

He seldom opens his service centre situated in Taman Supreme. His service centre till today`s date hasn’t displayed a proper operating hours of the service centre. I would say maybe being the first ever Indian DCM might have “caused him to overwork” till his has forgotten about his constituency voters.

He solely depends on a few individuals to take care of his constituency and this created some ruckus among the residents there. The most important that lacked in the administration of Dr. P. Ramasamy was to maintain the basic cleanliness of his constituency.

Being the DCM II at Penang State level and not being able to take concern on the cleanliness need of his voters is seen as something very shameful. Should Dr. P. Ramasamy blame the local council under administration for this or his voters who voted abundantly during last GE?

Dr. P. Ramasamy has more than 10 field officers who work under his administration in Perai constituency but yet failed to take care the basic cleanliness need of Perai E1 and E2 residents. Their flats are now at a shocking condition where rubbish is seen everywhere.

The field between the flats has not been taken care and this is creating a negative image among outsiders who comes to Perai. Could I say that Dr. P. Ramasamy is too busy fighting for Indians outside Perai and even outside of Penang at times and he has ignored the plights of his own voters?

Do you think that this leader is later seen capable of handling national affairs if Putrajaya falls under their administration? Such simple basic needs seemed to be ignored for rakyat but promises are made in such promising ways.

Let`s ponder on this simple points above before we mark our votes in the coming GE!
